In the summer of 2000, local businessman, Bill Weaver, decided it was time to give something back to the community.  He, along with several friends, decided to do a variety show and dinner to support a local charity.

They joined forces with the Tri-County Aids Coalition and the first “Evening of Entertainment and Illusion” debuted on January 27-28, 2001.  The result was a $10,000.00 donation to the Tri-County Aids Coalition.

The Spring of 2001 brought many new board members and the creation of what is now Friends Together for Life, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that raises funds for local charities with an emphasis on HIV/AIDS related causes.
